IPS (Intelligent Process Solutions) is a global software provider serving the energy and utility sectors with advanced solutions for asset management, grid operations, and protection systems.
With a strong international customer base and an expanding portfolio of enterprise-grade, cloud-native products, IPS is entering a significant growth phase.
To support this trajectory, we are seeking a Product Manager to lead our Network Model Management (NMM) solution - one of the core components of our platform for electrical grid operators.
Position Summary
This is a high-impact role for an experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in Network Model Management for electrical power systems.
You will own the strategy, vision, and execution of the IPS NMM product, guiding it through its next stage of functional, architectural, and commercial maturity.
Working closely with Engineering, Sales, and Product peers, you will ensure the NMM solution maintains and extends its leadership position with transmission and distribution system operators worldwide.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management discipline with hands-on understanding of network modelling, data management, and operational workflows used by grid operators.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Strategy
- Define, articulate, and continuously refine the product vision and strategy for Network Model Management – ensuring alignment with IPS’s broader platform (EAM, GIS, and grid operations).
- Evaluate market trends, customer pain points, regulatory drivers, and competitive offerings to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive the evolution of the NMM product toward cloud-native, modular, and scalable architectures.
- Serve as the external ambassador for the product, engaging with customers, partners, industry forums, and analysts.
Product Execution & Delivery
- Lead the full product lifecycle – from discovery and requirements definition to release planning, launch, and ongoing iteration.
- Translate complex operational and technical workflows into clear, prioritized product requirements and user stories.
- Work in partnership with Engineering to ensure timely, high-quality delivery, resolving trade-offs and clarifying priorities.
- Champion user experience, data quality, and usability across all NMM capabilities.
- Support go-to-market, sales, and customer success initiatives with positioning, demos, training materials, and field enablement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with fellow Product Managers to ensure seamless integration across the IPS suite.
- Align Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around clear product goals and delivery outcomes.
- Bring structured market insights, customer feedback, and usage analytics to guide commercial decisions and roadmap priorities.
Key Qualifications
Experience & Technical Background
- 5+ years of experience working with Network Model Management systems, or practical experience with network modelling of transmission or distribution grids (e.g., CIM, power system topology, asset hierarchies).
- Experience in running network studies in transmission in software like PSS/E, Powerfactory on Transmission level (must) and (ideally) distribution level.
- Proven data and model management experience understanding requirements of TSO/DSO customers.
- Product management experience within NMM, ADMS, EMS, GIS, or grid software environments is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-grade software products to a global customer base.
- Exposure to the application of AI/ML in grid operations, data validation, or predictive workflows is a plus.
- Strong grounding in modern, outcome-focused product management practices and empowered product team models.
- Strategic thinker who can translate vision into actionable roadmaps and measurable results.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage deeply with both technical stakeholders (engineering, data architects) and business users (TSOs/DSOs).
- Comfortable operating in an international, multicultural environment with distributed teams.
Industry Knowledge
- Solid understanding of electrical grid network modelling, data integration challenges, and utility operations.
- Familiarity with transmission or distribution grid operations, grid maintenance, asset management, or protection engineering.
- Experience working with software vendors serving asset-intensive industries (energy, utilities, infrastructure) is preferred.
Why Join IPS?
- Shape a flagship product used by leading utilities and grid operators worldwide.
- Play a central role in a period of major product, cloud, and organizational transformation.
- Join a company known for its strong reputation, collaborative culture, and international reach.
- Work with a leadership team committed to innovation, transparency, and long-term product excellence.
