Position: Product Manager- Quality Engineer

Location: Nürnberg, Germany

Tasks

• Responsibility for internal quality in production;
• Active participation in future projects to improve factory‑to‑factory delivery quality;
• Coordination and implementation of analyses of internal and external quality problems according to the 8D system;
• Support for production relocations with regard to internal quality;
• Creation of test plans and special approvals;
• Monitoring of quality standards;
• Development, coordination, and implementation of concepts and measures to ensure specified quality standards;
• Representation of quality management interests in negotiations with internal suppliers and customers;
• Processing of quality‑related issues in customer portals;
• Initiation of internal risk analyses, including their moderation;

Requirements

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with further training as a quality engineer or similar qualification/experience;
• Experience in the manufacturing environment of the automotive industry, complaint management using the 8D system;
• Good knowledge of quality management systems and quality assurance, including methods and tools for preventive quality assurance;
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing;
• MS Office and basic SAP R/3 skills desirable;
• Systematic and structured approach to work, ability to work in a team, and hands‑on mentality;
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills;
