Responsibilities

Take end to end ownership and lead the development and delivery of the company radio solution for the global markets, key focus being FM/DAB and HD Radio
Roll out for global markets incl. Europe, GCC, US/Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Japan
Perform benchmark activities, analyse market and technology trends and present conclusions to the leadership
Challenge the technical content and product definition under the aspects of performance and competitiveness, identify gaps, propose improvement opportunities and drive their implementation
Support the definition of product roadmaps and strategy
Review, create and maintain product, system and design requirements incl. change management
Work closely with the global company teams to ensure the integration of the radio solution as part of the overall smart cockpit solution
Manage and steer multiple internal and external partners and suppliers, status reporting to management and program teams
Collaborate with internal UX/UI teams and supplier to ensure a premium user and customer experience
Define attributes and sign-off criteria for your domain to ensure quality and customer expectations are met, define test and validation activities and lead the creation of test methods and standards
Support radio verification and validation activities, conduct expert assessment during test and sign-off drives
Issue management, in-depth technical root cause investigations incl. log analysis, ensure compliance with market specific requirements and regulations (e.g. Europe, North America)

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related course of studies
5-10 years of working experience in developing radio and/or infotainment solutions, preferably at an automotive OEM or Tier
Technical expertise in the following domains: media, radio/tuner (FM, DAB, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Hybrid Radio) incl. FM RDS/RBDS, DAB/FM Service Following, RF design, reception & antennas
Strong understanding of radio verification & validation methods and experience using associated tools (i.e. signal generators, analysers, simulators)
Android Automotive experience would be desirable, experience in the development of HD Radio and/or SiriusXM is beneficial
Awareness of market specific requirements for a global radio solution (e.g. Europe, North America, Japan, South Korea, Asia Pacific)
Experience working with and managing external supplier(s)
Previous exposure to a complete development lifecycle from concept to series production for a radio/infotainment solution or other infotainment product or sub-domain
Flexible regarding travel to visit suppliers/partners, other company facilities or to support drive test activities globally
Valid driver's license
