WHU has more than 60 faculty members in the fields of management, finance and accounting, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Research at WHU adheres to three research principles: quality, internationality, as well as practical and academic relevance. WHU faculty consistently publish their research in the most prestigious journals.
The successful candidate will lead an innovative research agenda and contribute to teaching in WHU’s graduate and Executive Education programs. Their research should advance knowledge in leadership, business psychology or broader OB/HRM topics (e.g., teams, culture, motivation, talent development, employee functioning) in the context of technological and societal transformation. In addition, the candidate is expected to collaborate actively with WHU’s Center for Responsible Leadership. We are searching for an advanced scholar who is prepared to assume academic functions (e.g., area/service roles, program directorship, curriculum initiatives).
WHU offers a competitive salary as well as an attractive package consisting of a research budget and administrative assistance. The teaching load is typically 192 academic hours per academic year, subject to adjustment based on WHU needs. Moreover, our modern campuses provide faculty with a high-quality research and teaching infrastructure.
WHU is an equal opportunity employer and thus welcomes applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds. We believe in the benefits of diversity and therefore foster an international, inclusive, and inspiring working environment.
We also offer opportunities for personal development, including language courses as well as integration assistance for new faculty members.
