The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to influence cutting‑edge defence programmes and work within a global industry leader dedicated to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong interface management with military clients, regulatory authorities, classification societies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Develop comprehensive programme plans, track progress with KPIs, manage resources effectively, and report on programme status using tools such as Earned Value Management.
  • Oversee risk management, implement change controls, and manage contractual obligations, including deliverables, change orders, and procurement contracts.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality, safety, and security standards, complying with relevant military and industry regulations.
  • Support senior leadership with strategic bid initiatives, customer communication, and authoritative negotiations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, shipbuilding, marine technology, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience managing large‑scale defence or maritime programmes, ideally involving surface vessels, submarines, or mission systems.
  • Knowledge of maritime standards, certification processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks (such as DNV, BV, Lloyd's Register, Bundeswehr regulations).
  • Familiarity with national and international procurement procedures, including the BAAINBw and Bundeswehr regulations.
  • Practical experience handling security‑sensitive information and programmes, with relevant security clearances preferred.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
  • Additional certification in project or programme management (e.g., IPMA Level B/C, PMI PMP).
  • Experience working within security compliance frameworks, export controls, or ITAR/EU regulations.
  • Prior exposure to the defence or aerospace sectors involving complex project coordination and stakeholder management.
