You will be Keon’s key representative for development and acquisitions in Germany, working closely with the French and German teams.
Contribute to Keon’s commercial strategy in Germany (targets, channels, messaging).
Build and maintain an active network with developers, operators, agricultural advisors, banks, local authorities and other key stakeholders.
Monitor German regulations and market trends: EEG, THG, RED III and regional incentive schemes.
Stay connected with industry associations, professional federations and political institutions .
Identify and qualify opportunities for greenfield and brownfield biogas/biomethane projects in which Keon could invest (cogeneration, biomethane projects already in operation, greenfield assets, portfolios).
Conduct initial contacts and site visits together with our partner Arcanum.
Build strong, long-term relationships with project developers (farmers, industries, local authorities).
Develop Keon’s brand awareness in Germany : attend trade fairs and events, represent Keon locally and ensure a visible, responsive presence.
Prepare and support the signing of investment offers at various stages (non-binding offers, binding offers).
Analyze data rooms provided by potential partners and support field audits, in coordination with Keon, Green M&A and Arcanum teams.
Follow up with prospects during negotiation phases and adjust offers to market requirements.
Take part in negotiating legal documentation linked to Keon’s equity entry into projects (SPA, shareholders’ agreements, etc.).
Lead the acquisition process up to closing , in close coordination with the legal and financial teams.
Manage permitting phases , BPA research, feedstock securing and local contracting for biomethane projects.
Coordinate technical, environmental and regulatory studies (permits, grid connection, subsidies) with German engineering firms and external partners.
Build financing dossiers and support project financing negotiations.
Oversee project management up to operational start-up , ensuring cost, timeline and performance control.
Guarantee regulatory and technical compliance of projects.
Organize and ensure an effective handover of projects to the operations team in charge of site management.
Proven experience in renewable energy project development , ideally in biomethane or biogas .
Strong knowledge of the German agricultural sector , comfortable working with agricultural partners.
Entrepreneurial, autonomous and results-driven mindset.
Solid project management experience in multicultural environments.
Good understanding of administrative and regulatory procedures in Germany .
Sound legal and financial skills (business plans, audits, NBO/BO).
Willingness to travel frequently in Germany (weekly) and in France (monthly team meetings).
Languages: German and English fluent ; French is a plus.
Remote working possible (ideally based near major agricultural regions). Offices are located in Holzwickede (Arcanum) .
Preferred location: Hanover – Lower Saxony / Saxony-Anhalt region .
