Project Device Engineer

ANNAX provides comprehensive technical solutions to generate, transmit, and display information. Our system solutions for the rail industry include the ANNAX Passenger Information System, which integrates numerous subsystems such as seat reservation, passenger counting, video surveillance, information for visually and hearing-impaired passengers, infotainment/entertainment systems, and more.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects for the development and lifecycle support of TFT and LED display systems used in railway applications
• Manage customer-specific service and retrofit projects, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (hardware, software, EMC, quality, methods, validation) throughout the product lifecycle
• Act as the technical interface between customers, internal departments, and external partners
• Ensure compliance with railway-specific standards and regulations (e.g. EN 50155, EN 50121-3-2, EN 45545)
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and service concepts
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and service processes
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for technical clarification, system analysis, and project coordination

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
• Several years of experience in technical project management, ideally in railway or industrial electronics
• Strong knowledge of display technologies (TFT, LED), embedded systems, and electrical design
• Familiarity with EMC design principles and railway certification processes
• Experience in service business, including retrofit, maintenance, and lifecycle management
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills
• Mandatorily business proficiency in German and good English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and on-site support
