Project Leader – Physicist / Engineer

Your mission

• Lead a disruptive ultrastable microwave R&D project that aims to convert cutting‑edge innovation into a product
• Participate in the implementation and characterization of a prototype
• Coordinate the cooperation with external project partners
• Build complex laser systems including free‑space and fiber optics, mode‑locked fiber lasers, frequency combs, vacuum components, and control electronics
• Contribute to the continuous development of current products to reach higher TRL, and conceive and realize new functionalities by exploring innovative applications

Your profile

• Ph.D. in physics, photonics, laser technology, electrical engineering, or a related field, preferably with postdoctoral research experience or 2‑3 years of industrial experience in the high‑tech sector
• Comprehensive knowledge of mode‑locked lasers, ideally optical frequency combs, ultra‑stable and CW lasers, high‑finesse cavities, and stabilization electronics, combined with several years of project management experience
• Systematic and analytical way of thinking
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit
• Open to occasional business trips
• Excellent English and German language skills
