Responsibilities
YOUR TASKS
We are looking for a Project Management – Primary Technology (m/f/d) to provide technical support for the system design, stations design, and selection and specification of primary equipment, including AC/DC devides, power converter technology and associated cooling systems. You will be working on exciting projects which aim to increase supply security in the nothern part of Germany, delivered in collaboration with our project partner — a leading German Transmission System Operator.
Your Tasks Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Management of all project phases from planning to manufacturing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), construction, and commissioning.
- Technical review of documents, preparation of tenders, and active participation in award processes.
- Coordination of internal and external stakeholders and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Technical exchange with internal experts and contribution of lessons learned in the field of primary technology and project management.
- Monitoring of compliance of safety requirements and quality standards in accordance with company guidelines.
- Participation in on-site testing and commissioning, including FAT and IBN.
- Advising the specialist project on schedule, cost, and risk management.
- Carrying out delivery and service approvals in coordination with the contractor
- Document management in the DMS, including compliance with review deadlines and provision of final documentation.
- Development of technical solution concepts for the release of documents in coordination with specialist project managers and contractors.
- Coordination of all requirements for primary technology and verification of their implementation by the manufacturer.
- Handover of assets to asset management and network operations after project completion.
Qualifications
Requirements & Your Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Project Management Tools such as MS Projects or Primavera P6
- Professional experience in high and extra-high voltage technology
- Good knowledge of Primary Systems and STATCOM systems
- Good knowledge of the energy industry framework conditions
- German language skills (C1) and English skills (B2)
- Onsite presence during the construction work, commissioing and acceptance tests
- Successful candidate must have eligibility to work in the EU and have a valic B class drivers license, along with the outlined qualifications
