Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning, and execution of small to medium-sized IT infrastructure projects from project setup to completion. The position includes managing subproject leads and ensuring that all project goals related to time, cost, and quality are achieved.

The role requires a combination of technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate small to mid-sized IT infrastructure projects (e.g. system rollout, harmonization of information systems) from initiation to project closure.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality objectives.
• Support requirements and account management teams in preparing project proposals and quotations.
• Coordinate effort estimations and creation of performance specifications.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and cost controlling activities, including preparation of project reports.
• Develop project plans and monitor dependencies, risks, and changes.
• Coordinate and independently execute assigned work packages.
• Prepare data analyses, decision papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support administrative and organizational tasks within the project.
• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on workshops and project meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related technical discipline. Alternatively, a completed vocational qualification in IT or business with several years of relevant professional experience.
• Certification in project management (e.g. IPMA Level D or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of ITIL principles.
• Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English (B1) according to CEFR standards.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a project team member or consultant in the field of digitalization or IT infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of experience in project leadership or management.
• Practical experience using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
