Job Description

I am seeking a Project Manager in the Building Construction industry who has good German or at least German at C1 level and good English to join a firm of construction consultants in Germany to join their busy and friendly office in Munich.

The initial projects are for the renovation of a fitness studio and also the construction of a new build fitness studio.

You will work on construction projects from feasibility through project delivery dealing with cost, budgets, quality, risk management, coordination, monitoring, specifications, coordination of tenders and more.

You should have excellent communication skills in order to attend meetings, deal with contractors on site, speak with the client etc.

You will be an ambitious person who is keen to join a firm for a long term career and to move up within the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from feasibility to project delivery.
• Manage cost, budgets, quality, risk management and coordination.
• Monitor progress, prepare specifications and coordinate tenders.
• Attend meetings and communicate with contractors and clients.
• Provide project coordination and progression for new builds and renovations.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a construction related subject (Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, etc.).
• Intermediate or senior level with at least five years of experience in construction industry.
• Experience in a firm of construction consultants (not just contractors). Preferably chartered or working towards chartered status.
• Strong command of German (C1+) and English (good).
• Proficient in MS Project or Primavera or similar.
• Understanding of commercial and economic aspects of construction projects for budgets, cash flow etc.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
