Project Manager (Construction) – Poland (or Germany) - remote
Renewables – battery storage, wind and solar
90-100k Euro + generous bonus and stock options
MacArthur Recruitment is looking for an experienced, German speaking, Renewables Construction Project Manager with experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and ideally wind projects delivery. Experience in solar would also be a bonus. This is with an international, publicly listed, renewables company.
You will lead the construction management of our client’s renewable energy projects across Europe, in particular Germany and Poland but will only need to visit roughly once every two months. There will be site visits too but the role is home based apart from this with expenses for travel, etc.
The role offers the opportunity to take an active role in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, working in a lively, international environment at the leading edge of the energy transition.
Responsibilities for the role of Construction Project Manager, Renewables:
- Serve as the primary project lead on behalf of the project owner, coordinating with all stakeholders to drive successful delivery
- Manage and supervise the construction phase, ensuring the project meets company goals and adheres to all contractual requirements
- Coordinate and direct all internal and external interfaces, including partners, contractors, global equipment manufacturers, service providers, the owner’s engineer, legal counsel, development teams, local and national authorities, financial institutions, and other key contributors
- Monitor and manage the project schedule, budget, and cashflow, while identifying opportunities for optimisation and efficiency
- Review critical milestones, assess risks and contractual liabilities, and develop mitigation strategies alongside proactive, forward‑looking solutions
Requirements for the role of Construction Project Manager, Renewables:
- Strong experience in construction project management
- Prior experience in the renewable energy sector - battery storage (BESS) and ideally wind
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil, mechanical engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
- Fluent in both German and English
- Based in Germany or Poland. Candidates located in Poland must be fluent in German and willing to travel to Germany as required
- Background working in an Owner/Developer capacity is highly desirable
- Open to employment either as a direct hire or on a freelance (invoice‑based) basis, depending on preference

- Technically minded with the ability to maintain a broad, holistic project perspective and the capability to oversee complex engineering and construction activities
