This Semiconductor Fabrication focused Project Manager role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the technical detail while also bringing structure and coordination to complex programmes. You’ll work on‑site at a major semiconductor manufacturing facility, supporting day‑to‑day process activities and driving project delivery across multiple engineering and operational workstreams. Our client is a global operational‑engineering consultancy supporting leading semiconductor and advanced manufacturing companies. For this engagement, they are building a dedicated on‑site team to help strengthen process performance, production readiness and the execution of improvement projects.

As the Project Manager, you’ll contribute to hands‑on engineering tasks while coordinating cross‑functional project activity. You’ll act as a link between fab operations, engineering, and project leadership — helping to keep workstreams aligned, risks understood, and progress on track.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support on process and equipment operations, acting as a bridge between engineering teams and project delivery.
• Leading or supporting process‑focused projects including improvements, qualifications, upgrades and throughput enhancements.
• Coordinating cross‑department activity across engineering, operations, procurement and quality to meet project timelines.
• Performing assessments, analysing risks, managing change control and supporting continuous improvement.
• Preparing technical documentation, reports, action plans and progress updates.
• Maintaining an active presence on the fab floor when required to ensure work aligns with operational reality.
• Ensuring all activity follows site protocols, standards, and best‑practice guidelines.

What You’ll Bring

• Background in semiconductor process engineering, equipment engineering or materials/process technology.
• Experience contributing to project‑based work and coordinating technical workstreams.
• Confidence working in a fast‑paced fab environment with senior technical stakeholders.
• Practical mindset with the ability to balance hands‑on engineering with structured project management.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is helpful but not essential.
• Flexibility to relocate and work fully on‑site. Hybrid options are available but not preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, processes and technologies.
