Propellant Supply & Management Engineer (m/f/d)

Join POLARIS Spaceplanes as a Propellant Supply & Management Engineer and contribute to the design and operation of hypersonic vehicle propulsion systems.

Your Mission

Design and analyse propellant supply systems for a two‑stage winged hypersonic UAV within the HYTEV project.
Design and analyse tank systems for kerosene and liquid oxygen applications.
Design and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) based on requirements and functional needs.
Define and verify key performance parameters (flow rates, pressures, efficiency) through simulation and testing.
Define specifications for valves, solenoid valves, control valves, pressure regulators, pressure vessels and safety components.
Perform fluid system component selection, trade‑off studies, and procurement.
Simulate and analyse system behaviour.
Design fluid‑system parts and assemblies in CAD.
Develop operation and safety procedures for the fluid system.

Your Profile

Successfully completed an aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (M.Sc./M.Eng.).
Experience in propellant‑management‑system design for aerospace vehicles preferred.
Programming skills in Python, C++, Matlab preferred.
Proficient with CAD software (Inventor/Creo).
Experience with simulation software (EcosimPro, Ansys) is an advantage.
Hands‑on experience assembling, testing and troubleshooting fluid systems.
Proficiency in both German and English.
Excellent analytical and interdisciplinary skills.
Proactive mindset, high motivation, flexibility, perseverance, teamwork.
Work experience in a start‑up environment is an advantage.
