Summary

A Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting technical and commercial proposals that meet client requirements and company standards. The role bridges technical expertise with business development, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with organizational goals.

The Role

• Review and analyze Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and tender documents.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams to prepare complete proposals.
• Develop technical documentation, compliance matrices, pricing sheets, and project execution plans.
• Estimate costs for materials, equipment, engineering hours, and subcontracted services.
• Ensure proposals meet client requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain proposal trackers, databases, and documentation for future reference.
• Support negotiations with clients by providing technical clarifications and commercial justifications.
• Stay updated with market trends, competitor offerings, and client expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of proposal templates, tools, and processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical)
• 1-2 years of experience in proposals writing, pricing analysis, estimation, or project engineering.
• Technical knowledge relevant to the company’s industry
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• English language is mandatory.
