Purchasing Engineer – Aerospace & Defence– Germany | Airbus Projects

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group), a leading company in safety‑critical systems and engineering services for aerospace, defence and transport , is looking for Procurement / Purchasing professionals to join our on‑site teams in Germany , supporting strategic Airbus programmes .

Locations include Oberkochen, Taufkirchen, Ulm, Inmestaad, Lampoldshausen, Bremen and other sites across the country.

What You Will Do

• Lead and coordinate procurement activities, acting as the main interface with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Define, implement and continuously improve commodity strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes and standards.
• Carry out market analysis and sourcing activities (RFPs, supplier selection, contract management).
• Monitor and improve supplier performance in terms of cost, quality and delivery.
• Identify and drive value‑creation and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Build and maintain long‑term, strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Manage risks across the supply chain to ensure continuity and performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Business Administration (ADE), Economics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar.
• Experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain / Commodity Management.
• Knowledge of contract management, cost control and supplier management.
• Fluent English (C1) – mandatory.
• German is a strong plus.
• EU citizenship required.
