Project Overview

This role focuses on establishing a robust frontend testing environment for an internal Go/Vue3 application. The project team has extensive experience in building complex applications but currently lacks comprehensive frontend test coverage. As the application scales and the team expands, implementing a reliable testing framework is essential to ensure code quality and maintainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the foundational test infrastructure, implementing initial smoke tests, and providing clear documentation to support future test development.

Deliverables

Set up a frontend testing environment using Cypress or a comparable technology.
Implement up to five basic smoke tests to validate core application functionality.
Create comprehensive documentation outlining the testing setup and guidelines for future test development.
Optionally, prepare the infrastructure to support domain-specific tests that can be triggered by changes in designated areas of the codebase.

Requirements

Proven experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of Vue3 and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices.
Familiarity with Go-based backend environments is a plus.
Ability to write clear, maintainable documentation for technical processes.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on code quality and scalability.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with experienced development teams.
Availability for a freelance engagement with potential for follow-up work.
