QA/QC Quality Engineer

Zaunergroup is an international partner for engineering, plant construction, and industrial services in the fields of energy, industry, and infrastructure. For our projects in the Data Center Central Europe sector, we are looking for a dedicated individual as a QA/QC Quality Engineer for the project site in Mainz. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards throughout the entire construction and installation phase of a demanding data center project.

• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with quality standards on the construction site
• Performing and documenting quality inspections in plant construction, piping, and all HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary) disciplines
• Preparing and maintaining QA/QC documentation in accordance with project and client requirements
• Coordinating inspections, tests, and acceptances with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Supporting the preparation of inspection plans, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and quality procedures
• Tracking deviations, non-conformities (NCRs), and supporting corrective actions
• Participating in pressure tests, inspections, and commissioning activities
• Close collaboration with project management, site management, and the central quality department
• Completed technical education (apprenticeship, technical college, university of applied sciences, or university degree) in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, process engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in QA/QC within plant construction, piping, or large-scale industrial projects (focus on HVAC)
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards, testing procedures, and documentation requirements
• Experience with technical documentation, inspection reports, and inspection processes
• Structured, detail-oriented, and self-reliant working style
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness on construction sites
• Very good German skills and good English skills

We would like to point out that the collectively agreed minimum salary under the attractive collective agreement for the metal industry amounts to €44,399.46 gross per year. The actual salary ranges between €44,500.00 and €59,000.00 gross per year and will be determined together with you. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will receive an attractive expatriation compensation package with additional financial and material benefits for your assignment abroad.
