Quality Assurance Engineer Required In Europe

Major Roles & Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis

• Review and understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories.
• Identify testable conditions, gaps, and potential risks early in the development cycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders for clarification.

Test Planning & Strategy

• Develop detailed test plans, test strategies, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Estimate testing efforts, timelines, and resources.
• Decide test types needed (functional, regression, performance, automation, etc.).

Test Case Design & Execution

• Write comprehensive and reusable test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
• Execute manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Validate functionality, usability, performance, and security aspects of the product.

Test Automation

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
• Integrate automation tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve automation coverage for faster and more reliable testing cycles.

Defect Identification & Reporting

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Prioritize defects based on severity and impact.
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

Quality Control & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure product quality aligns with company standards and customer expectations.
• Analyze test results and identify areas for process improvement.
• Recommend solutions to enhance software quality and testing efficiency.

Regression & Re-testing

• Perform regression testing after bug fixes, feature updates, or deployments.
• Re-test resolved issues to ensure functionality is fully restored.

Performance, Load & Security Testing

• Conduct performance tests (load, stress, scalability) using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and scalability issues.
• Support basic security testing and vulnerability detection.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation of test results, test summaries, dashboards, and metrics.
• Provide clear QA reports to management and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain QA knowledge bases and best practice guides.

Collaboration & Communication

• Participate in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth development and release cycles.
• Communicate quality risks, delays, and concerns effectively.

Release Support

• Validate builds during releases and ensure final product readiness.
• Perform smoke/sanity checks after deployments.
• Support release teams and troubleshoot issues in staging/production environments.

Compliance & Standards

• Follow industry standards such as ISO, CMMI, GDPR, and company quality guidelines.
• Ensure products meet regulatory and customer compliance requirements.
