Quality Assurance Manager – Product Quality Life Cycle Management

Position at Bayer, Supply Center Leverkusen. The role focuses on ensuring the highest quality standards across the pharmaceutical product life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality assurance activities through the product life cycle for the pharmaceutical products manufactured at Supply Center Leverkusen.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations for assigned products.
• Respond to quality-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, including customers, authorities and various business departments.
• Draft and update local quality control documents such as study plans‑reports, test plans, specifications and test methods in close collaboration with other experts.
• Support GMP‑relevant QC activities, including PQR handling, SOP creation, deviation management and root‑cause analysis for appropriate action development.
• Act as the quality assurance subject‑matter expert for assigned projects such as product launches and product transfers, and for local and global CMC projects, fostering collaboration and accountability across teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, Chemistry or another natural science.
• Extensive experience in a GMP‑regulated environment with in‑depth knowledge of international regulatory requirements, cGMP and pharmaceutical standards.
• Strong partnership and stakeholder‑management skills across business areas and sites.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with decisive decision making.
• Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.

• Contract duration: 24 months (fixed‑term).
• Location: Germany, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Leverkusen.
• Senior‑level, full‑time, Quality Assurance function.
