Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming green coffee samples.
• Prepare and ensure timely dispatch of samples to customers.
• Support the trading team by cupping and grading coffees according to company procedures and business requirements.
• Perform sample roasting for client requests and cupping sessions according to roasting standards.
• Set up and break down cupping tables according to industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized quality lab.
• Monitor inventory and equipment.
• Register incoming samples and keep proper documentation for all transactions.
• Participate in cupping sessions.
• Perform physical grading of green coffee samples.
• Assist sales team and customers with quality‑related questions.
• Calibrate, maintain, and update customer specifications.
• Support the sales team in food safety and compliance matters, including certifications, audits, documentation, and related questionnaires.

Qualifications

• Excellent organization and record‑keeping skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Dynamic mindset and strong communication skills.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the coffee industry.
• Previous experience in coffee quality control or sensory analysis; Q‑Grader certification is a plus.
• Sample roasting experience is preferred.
• Experience in sales or other customer‑facing roles is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Tools for quality assessment.
• Understanding of exporter country quality standards and procedures.

Languages

• Proficiency in German and English.
