Our client is a European start-up specializing in electronic warfare, secure communications, and precision localization technologies for the defense sector.

Role summary

The role is to design and implement the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with defense industry standards while supporting the growth of a fast-scaling technology organization.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and continuously improving a structured Quality Management System adapted to a fast-growing defense technology company
• Leading certification initiatives such as ISO 9001 and supporting alignment with aerospace and defense standards including EN 9100 and AQAP 2110/2210
• Planning and conducting internal audits across engineering, operations, and management teams
• Managing non-conformities and driving corrective and preventive action processes (CAPA)
• Establishing supplier quality management practices including supplier qualification, audits, and incoming quality control processes
• Ensuring full traceability of requirements, design decisions, manufacturing steps, and validation activities
• Preparing the organization for external audits from certification bodies, government authorities, or major defense contractors

Necessary skills

• Proven experience in Quality Management or Quality Assurance
• Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries is strongly appreciated
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience implementing or maintaining QMS frameworks
• Familiarity with EN 9100, AQAP standards, or similar regulated industry frameworks is highly desirable
• Experience conducting internal audits and managing CAPA processes
• Structured, pragmatic, and able to implement compliance processes without slowing down engineering teams
• Fluent German and English are imperative

Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required: German or EU Citizenship mandatory.
