Responsibilities

• Processing SMS cases in the FAL Hamburg environment, including consistent follow-up until completion (backlog management )
• Analyzing aviation safety-related speak-ups : defining immediate measures, conducting root cause analysis , deriving corrective actions , and verifying effectiveness
• Managing and facilitating cross-functional teams and coordinating with Safety Items Management, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and other departments
• Ensuring the responsibilities of an SMS Network Member , including structured recording of speak-ups
• Preparing data analyses for monitoring and reporting to support informed decisions within the SMS network
• Defining and further developing local governance , including documentation
• Preparing for and supporting audits in coordination with the SMS network (as needed)
• Planning and implementing continuous improvement and preventive measures, as well as organizing regular progress and case review meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aircraft construction, engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial engineering
• Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in quality management
• Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in project management and process improvement
• Initial professional experience in engineering as well as initial experience in project management
• Strong knowledge of Lean Management and Total Quality Management (problem-solving methods)
• Basic experience in data analysis
• Advanced practical knowledge of SAP
• Knowledge of Google Workspace as well as basic knowledge of Kaizen and risk management
• Fluent German and English language skills (at least C1 level in each)
• A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
