R&D Engineer Embedded/IoT (f/d/m)

Your mission

We are an internationally growing company in the field of sustainable mobility solutions. With more than 300 locations in over 20 countries, we are shaping the future of urban mobility and developing bike-sharing systems at our headquarters in Leipzig that make cities more livable and resilient. To strengthen our Software Infrastructure team , we are looking for support to help shape and further develop our products and systems .

• You scout , evaluate , and test new hardware , sensors , wireless standards , and software frameworks for our future IoT products
• You conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes
• Analyze and assess market trends and research findings to ensure our technological competitiveness
• You develop firmware for our next-generation IoT products
• Optimize our development processes and introduce new tools
• You collaborate with our software , electronics , and mechanics teams to solve technical challenges

Your profile

• Completed technical degree (computer science , electrical engineering , information technology , or a comparable qualification)
• Very good German skills (at least C1 ) and very good English skills (at least C1 )
• Several years of professional experience in embedded/firmware research projects
• Solid knowledge in programming , hardware-related development , software architecture , and cybersecurity
• Basic skills in working with hardware (circuit diagrams , error analysis , measurement series )
• Strong interest and experience with scouting new technologies and IoT trends (especially wireless technologies , bus systems , asset tracking )
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with an eye for the bigger picture
• Since our tasks require a lot of equipment and hardware, you should work on-site in our beautiful office in Leipzig-Plagwitz at least three days per week
