React Native Engineer

Job Title: React Native EngineerLocation: Berlin - Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site (up to 8 weeks per year of remote working outside of Germany is available)Salary: €68k p/a plus benefits Troi Search have partnered with a leading TV-as-a-Service provider in Berlin to hire a React Native Engineer. This role will involve building a world-class playback experience using React Native for your customers. Your Role:Collaborate with the playback team to optimize video performance across all content types.Develop a seamless, responsive Playback Experience using React Native.Prioritize performance, stability, and smooth transitions across various video formats.Partner with video engineers, designers, and product managers to innovate the watch experience.Push the boundaries of cross-platform playback UI capabilities.Implement automated testing to ensure reliability and maintain high-quality code.Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation. What You Bring:3+ years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.Strong expertise in React Native and related frameworks: React, Redux and React Navigation.Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress/Playwright, or Appium.A sharp eye for user experience, motion, and performance optimization.Familiarity with video playback principles; bonus points for experience with video players or streaming SDKs.Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Haves:Experience with native app development (Swift, Objective-C, Java/Kotlin) or web technologies (HTML, CSS, Web APIs, Node.js).Background in building applications for native frameworks or Web TV platforms.
