React Native Engineer

About Us: The Unit is a software development company specializing in the sports betting, gambling, and iGaming industries, with its headquarters in Ireland. Our team is pleased to have been collaborating with customers from around the world since 2017.

Currently, we are looking for a dedicated React Native Engineer . You will be a key contributor to a dedicated mobile engineering team responsible for building and evolving crypto-related products for one of our largest clients (sportsbetting platform).

Working closely with product, design, backend, and Web3 teams, you’ll help deliver secure, high-performance mobile applications that serve as the primary user interface to complex blockchain-powered systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Build scalable, reusable UI components and application architecture shared across multiple products.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend, and Web3 engineers to deliver cohesive features.
• Integrate APIs and SDKs that interface with crypto, payments, and financial services.
• Ensure high standards of performance, security, and reliability across iOS and Android.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support app releases and deployments to the App Store and Google Play.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience with React Native .
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and modern React patterns (hooks, state management).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and third‑party libraries.
• Familiarity with mobile development tools such as Xcode and Android Studio .
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, performance optimization, and app lifecycle.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Upper‑intermediate or higher English proficiency (B2+).

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with fintech, payments, or security‑sensitive applications.
• Exposure to Web3, crypto wallets, or blockchain‑based products.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
• Experience working in multi‑product or platform‑oriented teams.
