Overview
Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting. The firm operates in more than 70 cities across 30 countries with 7,000+ professionals focused on strategy, operations, risk management, and organization transformation. This role is a maternity-cover contract (20 months) for the Entry-Level / Early Careers Recruiting team in Munich, ideally starting January 2026. Hybrid working policy applies; the successful candidate is expected to work from the Munich office at least 60% of the time.
Recruiting Manager, Early Careers, Germany & Austria - Munich is the primary contact for interns and entry-level hires in Germany and Austria, responsible for building and delivering a market-leading campus and early-talent strategy. You will collaborate with local Recruiting Partners, the European Head of Recruiting and senior stakeholders on recruitment marketing, university engagement, event planning, and end-to-end hiring processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a recruiting strategy for Germany and Austria, keeping senior stakeholders informed.
- Drive the delivery of Oliver Wyman’s Inclusion & Diversity agenda for entry-level hiring.
- Adapt firm-wide recruitment marketing and create local campus materials, adverts and digital content.
- Manage university relationships, plan campus activity, and coordinate consultant school teams and logistics.
- Own the end-to-end hiring process for interns and graduates: screening, interviews, offers, onboarding and reporting.
- Build and monitor recruiting metrics (efficiency, spend, resource needs) and maintain recruiting IT systems (Workday).
- Develop and control the annual recruiting budget; process invoices and ensure cost-effective execution.
- Continually improve recruiting processes, tools and candidate experience using feedback and data.
- Manage and develop the local recruiting team; share best practices across markets.
- Lead special projects to improve recruiting processes, training or strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Around 5–6+ years of end-to-end graduate/early careers recruiting experience, ideally in professional services or management consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and German.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor coordination and campus marketing activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases and willingness to use AI tools for efficiency.
- Experience with Workday or a similar ATS.
- Prior experience coordinating international or multi-market recruiting events.
- Background in consulting or knowledge of professional services recruiting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
