The department of Economics and Management, Institute of Management and Business Studies (IBWL) – Sustainable Marketing (Prof. Dr. Ralf Wagner) offers the position of Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H, fixed‑term, part‑time (20 hours per week) starting 1 January 2026.

Position summary

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in sustainable marketing.
• Participation in department projects and summer schools.
• Independent management of a research sub‑field at the intersection of marketing, digitalization, and sustainability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management or related disciplines; the degree must be attained by the start date and qualify for a doctorate at the University of Kassel.
• Experience with empirical data collection and analysis methods.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Advantages

• Knowledge of R, SMARTPLS, or MAXQDA.
• Experience publishing in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Proficiency in German, both spoken and written.
