  • Investigate the cellular and neuronal basis of cognitive functions using innovative experimental approaches
  • Plan, conduct, and analyze complex brain experiments in genetically modified mouse models, including optogenetic and chemogenetic methods
  • Link molecular cell biology of adult neural stem cells with neurophysiological questions
  • Perform advanced experimental manipulations such as pharmacological treatments, surgeries, and organ dissections
  • Phenotypically characterize experimental models at the histological level using modern microscopy and analytical techniques
  • Contribute actively to academic teaching, including delivering courses, supervising seminar and thesis projects, and preparing teaching materials
  • Supervise and mentor students and junior researchers, and organize laboratory operations (e.g., mouse colonies, procurement of materials)

  • University degree in neurophysiology or a comparable field
  • Solid expertise in electrophysiology, biochemistry, analytics, and experimental laboratory work
  • Practical experience in conducting and analyzing experimental research
  • Experience handling laboratory animals, ideally with the required certification according to applicable regulations
  • Independent, structured, and responsible working style
