Research & Development Associate

Position Summary

The Research & Development (R&D) Associate supports product testing, application development, and technical education across the organization. This role focuses on application technology products, including adjuvants, and plays a key role in bridging research, product knowledge, and field execution. The R&D Associate will work closely with the R&D Manager, chemistry team, and sales team to ensure products are tested, understood, and effectively positioned in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of product testing, with a focus on application technology and adjuvant products
• Conduct product quality testing and assist in identifying opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with the chemistry and quality control teams to evaluate product performance and identify market opportunities
• Develop a strong understanding of product functionality, including crop oils, compatibility agents, and related technologies
• Identify and document best practices for product mixing, handling, and application
• Assist in translating technical product knowledge into practical guidance for sales teams and customers
• Deliver product education and training to internal teams, customers, and partners
• Support field trials and research activities, including data collection and reporting
• Travel to support field work, training sessions, and customer engagement (up to 50%)
• Maintain accurate documentation of testing, product performance, and application protocols
• Stay informed on industry trends, application technologies, and competitive products

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Chemistry, or related field preferred
• Strong interest in agriculture, product performance, and application technology
• Ability to understand and communicate technical information clearly
• Comfortable presenting and educating both internal and external audiences
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The Pay Range For This Role Is

65,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Urbanbale)
