Research Manager (m/f/d)

About the position

As a Research Project Manager, you will focus on our research projects, from preparing funding applications to coordinating and overseeing ongoing project execution. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that research work packages impact our product development.

Your responsibilities

1. Elaborate on project applications, set up approved research projects, and provide organizational support throughout all project phases (including reports and presentations).
2. Represent Ubermetrics at conferences and events to identify collaboration opportunities and evaluate funding calls.
3. Optimize the organizational handling of research projects.
4. Work closely with management to develop Ubermetrics’ tech strategy and roadmap to ensure the transfer of research results into product development.

Your profile

1. Successfully completed studies with an affinity for scientific/technical topics (e.g., relevant professional experience, field of study, or hobby projects).
2. Participation in reports/presentations in at least one research consortium (a research project with multiple partners).
3. Willingness to familiarize yourself quickly with Ubermetrics' research topics, including text mining and AI/machine learning.
4. Deep knowledge of funding law.
5. Ability to use project management tools and track research project progress.
6. Knowledge of big data systems and managing large datasets in research projects.
7. Understanding of software development processes, especially for integrating research outputs into the product roadmap.
8. Experience with APIs, version control systems (e.g., Git), and research data management tools.
9. Strong written skills, especially in describing technical contexts (e.g., research proposals, reports).
10. Ability to work in a team, independently, proactively, and with an engaging demeanor.
11. Excellent written and spoken German and English skills (at least C1).
