Research Technician - mRNA

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory manufacturing and research activities
• Establishment of R&D analytical, manufacturing and quality control methods in laboratory
• Establishment of laboratory protocols, incl. SOPs where required
• Interact with technology provider to manage material transfer
• Timely execution of non-clinical studies with CROs, academic partner (early stage) or through the CoE wet lab capabilities in line with scientific standards of execution and documentation
• Documentation
• Seek internal alignment and approval of non-clinical development plan
• Execute according to approved study plan with operational excellence
• Documentation of procedures and results is a key responsibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor in biology or biotechnology or similar
• Background in mRNA research is favourable
• Relevant analytical methods:
  • Cell culture of immortalized cell lines
  • Transfection of cultured cells using mRNA
  • Expression analysis using Luminescence and western blot assays
  • ELISA-based detection of analytes
  • Familiarity with basic DNA and RNA handling and molecular biology tools
  • mRNA related analytical methods: concentration, integrity (using capillary electrophoreses), etc. are of added value
  • Use of MS Office
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit
  • Ability to communicate and documentation in English
