Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

About our Group

CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Description: Confirmation Measures Engineer (Audit & Assessment)

The Confirmation Measures Engineer is responsible for conducting functional safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with ISO 26262. This role combines the responsibilities of both auditor and assessor, focusing on planning, execution, documentation, and follow-up of safety-related evaluations across domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and lead kick-off meetings to introduce the audit/assessment team and outline procedures.
• Conduct Confirmation Reviews (I2/I3) as the central safety authority, ensuring compliance and consistency across all technical centres.
• Conduct safety audits and assessments either on-site or via web-based conferences.
• Verify safety audits and assessments checklist content and quality prior to execution to ensure alignment with ISO 26262 specifications.
• Document findings and results from confirmation review, audits and assessments in a structured format.
• Identify deviations and define corrective measures with clear due dates.
• Track implementation of corrective actions until closure and ensure compliance.
• Ensure work products meet ISO 26262 and CARIAD Safety process standards and are properly completed.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
• Support external safety Audit/assessment.

Job Requirement

Competencies and Skills

• Knowledge of Autosar Architecture
• Knowledge of automotive Ecus(ADAS, Inverter, power train, chassis, Body)
• Development/Testing Exp of at least one ASIL-B/ASIL-D
• Should be Certified ISO26262 and certification should be valid
• Exp of accessing, Auditing, confirming at least 2 automotive ECU’sutions
• Knowledge of expertise in Part-6 , DFEMA, ISO26262 process safety case preparation, audit and approval

Qualification

• Certification as an Automotive Functional Safety Professional (ISO 26262) from an accredited provider.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in safety-critical domains.
