Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager (m/f/d) to drive, develop, and execute the S&OP process within NACOS Marine. In this key role, you will take ownership of the entire S&OP framework, working within broad but defined guidelines, and act as a strategic facilitator to align demand, procurement, production, and delivery capacities. You will be empowered to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and ensure an effective cross-functional S&OP culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and continuously improve the S&OP process, including demand and supply review, forecasting, executive approval, communication, and overall process quality
  • Lead S&OP meetings, ensuring active participation, engagement, and timely contributions from all stakeholders
  • Enhance forecast visibility, utilization, and understanding across NACOS Marine
  • Define, implement, and monitor S&OP Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) together with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the S&OP process, manage their implementation and documentation, and provide policies, guidelines, and training as needed
  • Further develop S&OP into an integrated business planning process that aligns demand planning with production and supply capacities
  • Lead or support projects and initiatives related to S&OP, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and data-driven decision-making

Job Requirements

  • Completed university degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Sales & Operations Planning or supply chain planning and advanced knowledge of S&OP processes, forecasting, and production planning
  • Proficient stakeholder management, moderation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience developing and improving processes and tools
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; familiarity with S&OP tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong can-do attitude with the ability to execute and drive initiatives
  • Collaborative mindset with the capability to align and manage cross-functional business processes and a structured, detail-oriented, and confident working attitude within established frameworks while proactively identifying improvements
