Mesh-AI is on a mission to become the world’s leading Data & AI consultancy. We are seeking a Pharma & Life Sciences (PLS) Sales Director to shape and scale our market presence, driving the adoption of AI, data modernisation, and digital transformation within the world’s largest and most highly regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences organisations.

In this role, you will be the commercial engine behind our Pharma & Life Sciences practice - leading strategic account growth, securing major transformational engagements, and establishing Mesh-AI as the partner of choice for organisations seeking to unlock scientific, operational, and commercial value through data and AI.

You are an influential commercial leader with deep industry knowledge and a proven ability to sell into large global enterprises (C-suite, R&D, Commercial, Manufacturing, Technology). You have extensive experience selling across the full spectrum of consulting services—from advisory and domain expertise to engineering-led delivery, managed services, and long-term strategic programmes.

Responsibilities

Market & Growth Leadership

  • Co‑shape and execute Mesh‑AI’s commercial strategy for the Pharma & Life Sciences sector in partnership with PLS leadership.
  • Drive significant above‑market growth of the PLS business, expanding our footprint with global pharma, biotech, medical devices, and life sciences service providers.

Enterprise Sales & Strategic Deal‑Making

  • Design, position, and win groundbreaking Data & AI programmes that enable clients to transform outcomes, accelerate R&D, optimise manufacturing, and modernise commercial operations.
  • Lead complex sales cycles end‑to‑end - from opportunity origination and qualification to deal shaping, negotiation, and closure.
  • Engage with clients throughout delivery to ensure exceptional outcomes and long‑term account growth.

Client Advocacy & Trust Building

  • Build and nurture senior, trust‑based relationships across R&D, Clinical, Safety, Regulatory, Medical, Digital, and Technology leadership.
  • Represent Mesh‑AI’s thought leadership on emerging trends across Data & AI, regulatory innovation, digital‑enabled R&D, and connected manufacturing.

Requirements

Industry Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical & life sciences sector , including key sub‑sectors (pharma, biotech, medical devices) and an understanding of global enterprise operating models.
  • Demonstrable track record of sustained, high‑growth account development across large portfolios.
  • Experience selling multi‑million‑pound consulting engagements across advisory, engineering, transformation, and managed services.
  • Strong ability to navigate global organisations and influence at the highest levels.

Network & Market Presence

  • Extensive network of senior stakeholders within global pharma, biotech, and life sciences enterprises.
  • Ability to articulate how Data & AI technologies (GenAI, ML, cloud data platforms, digital twins, knowledge graphs, etc.) are reshaping the industry.
