Sales Engineer Refractory

We are looking for a REFRACTORY SALES ENGINEER / German Market

Responsibilities:

• Manage and expand the existing customer base in the steel industry.
• Acquire new customers, analyse market potentials and developments.
• Advice customers on selecting the right refractory products and solutions.
• Organise technical and commercial visits to the customers.
• Understand technical specifications/drawings and customer requirements.
• Supervise refractory installations and trials follow up.
• Ability to work when required in a heavy industry environment.
• Prepare quotations and conducting negotiations.
• Manage the commercial topics around the order process.
• Monitor market trends and develop sales strategies.
• Participate in trade fairs and industry events.
• Report to the Management in Switzerland.
• Full remote possible / frequently travel.

Education and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably with focus on Metallurgy, Material Science.
• 5 years of professional experience in refractory technical sales in the steel industry or in steel production or in refractory production.
• Knowledge of steel production and related processes as well as understanding of the related applications of the refractory products.
• Strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Confident presentation of communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical and goal-oriented working style.
• Team player/networker in an international environment.
