Sales Executive - Air & Ocean

We are currently partnering with a leading global freight forwarding organisation to support the hire of an Outdoor Sales Executive (Air & Ocean Freight) based in Munich.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, hunter-type sales professional to join a well-established logistics business and play a key role in expanding their market share across Southern Germany.

The Role

As an Outdoor Sales Executive, your primary focus will be winning new business across Air & Ocean freight. This is a field-based, client-facing role suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and converting opportunities into long-term customers.

You will be given the autonomy to develop your territory, supported by strong internal teams across pricing, operations, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and win new business opportunities within Air & Ocean freight
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Munich region
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reporting
  • Achieve and exceed revenue and gross profit targets

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–4+ years of experience in outdoor/field sales within freight forwarding or logistics
  • Proven track record of new business acquisition (“hunter” mentality)
  • Strong knowledge of Air & Ocean freight markets and services
  • Commercially driven with a results-oriented mindset
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and target-driven
  • Fluent in German and English
