As the Sales & Implementation Engineer, you’ll be the technical expert responsible for ensuring our customers implement and integrate the platform effectively, securely, and with long-term value in mind. You’ll work at the intersection of solution architecture, advanced support (second and third line support), and technical operations, and are critical to our customers\' success. You’ll partner with the Customer Success Director (strategic lead) and Customer Success Manager (operational owner), taking ownership of technical rollouts, integrations, and data workflows. This role offers room to define best practices and become the technical backbone of how we deliver value post-sale.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls; understand customer systems, infrastructure, and delivery-impacting nuances
• Design secure, scalable solutions tailored to each customer
• Serve as the translator between business priorities and technical implementation
• Own the rollout process from scoping to go-live and ongoing support
• Act as the technical lead during onboarding and beyond
• Proactively resolve issues (config quirks, API hiccups, or deeper platform behavior)
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product when escalation is needed
• Create clear, reliable documentation and rollout materials for others to use
• Identify inefficiencies and improve tools, templates, and processes to move faster
• Train Sales and Success teams to handle basics and know when to escalate
• Set up data pipelines and reporting that surface real insights and ensure secure data handling
• Build SQL reports and lightweight automation to streamline reporting
• Work with Sales to validate technical feasibility during pre-sales and support Success on rollouts
• Collaborate with Product & Engineering by feeding actionable field insights

What you bring

• 4+ years of hands-on technical implementation, integration, or solution engineering in a SaaS environment
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers; solving problems, not just taking notes
• Built frameworks, docs, or processes from scratch in a scale-up or high-growth context
• Clear communicator who can switch between technical detail and business impact
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and know when to dig in vs. delegate
• Business-level fluency in German and English
• Strong grasp of enterprise security concepts like SSO, provisioning, and data protection
• Experience supporting or enabling internal teams to handle first-line technical queries

Your toolkit

Core technical skills:

• APIs (REST, OAuth2.0, Postman, JSON)
• Scripting (Bash and JavaScript/TypeScript)
• SQL (queries, reporting, optimisation)
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
• Command line proficiency (Unix/macOS environments)

Nice to have

• Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with AI/ML tooling or data platforms
• Familiarity with Postman, JIRA, Git, and related tools
• Certifications like AWS Architect, PMP, or ITIL
• Comfortable navigating InfoSec and IT compliance conversations
