About the role

Envision offers a comprehensive total solution for clean energy, which spans generation, storage, and software. We are a leading company in the development of advanced wind turbines and energy storage systems, as well as software solutions that are capable of managing energy assets on a global scale.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our dynamic renewable energy company in different locations in Germany. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our key clients. You will play a crucial role in penetrating the new market, driving business growth, maximising customer satisfaction, and ensuring the successful implementation of our end‑to‑end renewable energy solutions. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximise revenue from key accounts in the renewable energy sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and stakeholders within client organisations.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and drive cross‑selling and up‑selling activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of projects and exceptional customer service.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess customer satisfaction, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in collaboration with the sales team.
• Monitor and analyse key account metrics, such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to achieve targets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely support.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop customised marketing materials and campaigns for key accounts.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our renewable energy solutions and expand the network of potential clients.

Qualification and expertise

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (7+ years) of business development and sales with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in a sales leader role in the renewable energy industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, focus on BESS (with wind is a plus), and other emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated track record of building up sales pipeline and achieving sales targets from 0‑1, and driving business growth with limited resources.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Excellent relationship‑building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand technical aspects of renewable energy solutions and effectively communicate them to clients.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to problem‑solving and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
