Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

An innovative European maritime robotics start-up is expanding its commercial team as it accelerates growth in defence and commercial maritime markets. The company develops proprietary close-range underwater robotic systems that transform complex underwater inspections into structured, data-driven workflows for ports, vessels and naval stakeholders.

With growing traction across European naval ecosystems, first paid deployments delivered, and active engagement with defence customers, the company is now looking for a hands-on Sales / Business Development Manager to build pipeline, convert opportunities, and support structured commercial scaling.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities across: Port inspection, Vessel inspection, Dual-use / defence applications
• Build and maintain relationships with naval stakeholders, port authorities, maritime operators
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation
• Support demonstrations, trials and pilot projects with customers
• Develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline and CRM discipline
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing and market positioning
• Represent the company at industry events, defence forums and maritime exhibitions
• Collaborate closely with the CCO, CEO and technical teams

Your Background

• Several years of experience in sales or business development
• Comfortable selling technically complex solutions
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a scaling environment
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
