We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Specialist to drive sales of our Test & Measurement (T&M) solutions within the Power Electronics market across key European countries. This role is crucial for expanding our market share and building strong relationships with key customers in areas such as automotive, industrial, renewable energy, and aerospace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of power electronics applications, a passion for solving customer challenges, and the ability to effectively communicate the value of our T&M products. A key component of this position is enabling our Sales and Field Application Engineers (SE/AMs) to successfully target and penetrate the Power Electronics market. This includes market intelligence, lead generation support, and technical enablement.
Responsibilities
- Direct Sales: Actively pursue sales opportunities within the defined territory, directly managing key accounts and developing new business.
- Identifying and qualifying leads.
- Conducting product demonstrations and presentations (Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, LCR Meters, Power Analyzers, and other T&M instruments).
- Developing and delivering tailored solutions to address customer needs.
- Negotiating and closing sales deals.
- Achieving or exceeding assigned sales targets.
Market Enablement
- Identify and map key players within the Power Electronics market in assigned countries (e.g., major manufacturers, research institutions, Tier 1 suppliers).
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.
- Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and other collateral to educate SE/AM teams on Power Electronics applications and our solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to SE/AMs on complex sales opportunities.
- Facilitate introductions and connections between SE/AMs and key customer contacts.
- Lead or participate in customer workshops and technical seminars.
Technical Expertise
- Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams, providing expert knowledge of Power Electronics testing methodologies and our product capabilities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
- Gather customer feedback and relay it to product development teams.
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
Travel
- Frequent travel within the assigned territory to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support SE/AMs (estimated 50‑70 % travel).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in sales or application engineering within the Test & Measurement industry, specifically focused on Power Electronics applications.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience enabling sales teams is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of power electronics principles, circuits, and applications (e.g., converters, inverters, motor drives, renewable energy systems).
- Hands‑on experience with T&M equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, LCR Meters, Power Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Spectrum Analyzers.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and proactive.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in one or more key European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian) is highly desirable.
