SAP ARIBA SERVICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST (M/W/D)

Join Schmitt Engineering as a SAP Ariba Service Support Specialist in Erlangen. As a medium‑sized company, we offer comprehensive technical expertise along the process chain from planning and project design to development, construction, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming service requests and incident tickets for SAP Ariba Guided Buying.
• Support end‑users with navigation, application, and basic troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues to the responsible IT support teams.
• Ensure timely ticket processing and SLA compliance.
• Communicate status updates to users.
• Maintain and update ticket logs and document recurring topics.
• Propose process improvements.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training.
• First exposure to SAP Ariba Guided Buying is an advantage (training will be provided).
• Basic knowledge of ticketing systems and standardized IT processes.
• Customer‑ and service‑orientated with friendly appearance.
• Ability to explain technical subjects clearly.
• Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize independently.
• Desirable: experience in procurement, shared services, or IT support and basic knowledge of other SAP‑Ariba modules (e.g., Sourcing, SLP).
• Fluent German (level B2+) and basic English.
