SAP FICO Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Project Manager to lead a large-scale S/4 HANA rollout for a global pharmaceutical client based in Germany. This long-term remote contract requires occasional travel to the client's site. The project spans numerous commercial affiliates across multiple countries, with very tight schedules and demanding delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the rollout of SAP FICO across a large number of international commercial affiliates.
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery under tight schedules, ensuring go-lives are met on time.
• Act as a hands-on leader, providing functional expertise and guidance in SAP FICO.
• Ensure compliance with local legal, tax, and financial requirements across different countries.
• Lead the mapping of financial processes to ensure accurate and compliant system integration.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including finance, tax, IT, and business teams.
• Collaborate closely with affiliates to ensure smooth adoption and transition to S/4 HANA.
• Provide clear communication and direction to both technical and functional teams.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record as a Project Manager in S/4 HANA implementations or rollouts.
• Strong financial and tax background with experience in multi-country legal and tax requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP FICO configuration and processes (not purely management).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across global teams and affiliates.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in stressful, fast-paced environments with tight schedules.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical sector is highly desirable.
