Your role

You will be part of the Payroll Crew within Group HR Technology — a team focused on automating and simplifying HR services across the entire employee lifecycle. From onboarding and vetting to international mobility, payroll and exit processes, we build solutions that leverage modern, scalable technology to deliver better experiences for our employees and internal clients.

• design, build and enhance digital products and services used across UBS
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices — from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure our solutions are secure, reliable and compliant with UBS technology standards
• embed observability into our systems to monitor production health, support incident resolution and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• continuously upskill — learning new technologies, reusing strategic platforms and making decisions with long term sustainability in mind

Your team

You’ll join an agile and autonomous team in the Group Technology Office (GTO) in Kraków or Wrocław with the option to work from home up to two days per week. We are a global organization that values diversity, collaboration, engineering excellence and digital culture. As part of your development, you will join the UBS Certified Engineer program — one of our key initiatives to build and grow engineering mastery across the firm.

Your expertise

We are looking for a skilled SAP consultant with strong functional expertise in SAP HCM, particularly in Personnel Administration and Payroll Accounting. You enjoy working in a collaborative, agile environment and are motivated to deliver secure, scalable and high performing solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you bring:

• SAP implementation experience, ideally within SAP HCM (Personnel Administration and Payroll Accounting – PA and PY modules)
• Strong hands on expertise in SAP customization, including Infotypes, Wage Types, Schemas, Rules and Features
• Deep knowledge of SAP Payroll, including tables, structures, programs, messages, views, transactions and function groups
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Experience working in a Scrum team and applying Agile delivery practices
• Understanding of legal and tax rules impacting payroll
• Background in designing, analysing and testing new functionality
• Familiarity with SDLC practices and large scale enterprise delivery

Nice to Have:

• ABAP Workbench exposure
• SQL / database knowledge
• API and integration experience
• Knowledge of Data Dictionaries, Reports, Forms
• Experience with cross functional HR/Finance systems
• International payroll exposure
