Randstad Deutschland invites applications for a 95% remote SAP Upgrade Consultant role for an automotive client.

Project Details

• Duration: – (possible extension)
• Location: 95% remote, workshops and reviews may take place at the customer’s location (Braunschweig/Lower Saxony) 1‑2 days per month.
• Workload: 100% full‑time (456 hours)
• Language: English
• Candidates from the EU are welcome.
• Budget: up to €90.00 all‑in hourly rate (payment terms: 30 days)

Key Responsibilities – SAP Upgrade

• Upgrade Planning & Roadmap Coordination: develop upgrade concepts, timelines, effort estimates; align with release train and manage dependencies.
• Technical Coordination: oversee SAP ECS technical activities (SUM, kernel updates, SPAM/SAINT, system refreshes) and act as liaison with offshore teams.
• Custom Code & Compatibility: supervise ATC, SPDD/SPAU tasks, monitor compatibility issues, ensure timely resolution.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: coordinate integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; facilitate defect resolution.
• Go‑Live & Hypercare: manage cutover activities, support production start, and stabilize operations.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: collaborate with Roles & Rights Management and other stakeholders for dependency management and authorization testing.
• Documentation & Handover: deliver complete and validated upgrade documentation to operations and support teams.

Key Responsibilities – BTP

• Assist in designing and implementing SAP BTP solutions and integrations.
• Support API development, data exchange, and system monitoring.
• Coordinate BTP‑driven projects, upgrades, and migrations.
• Contribute to performance tuning, security management, and compliance tasks.
• Learn and apply best practices under senior consultant guidance.

Skills & Requirements

• Proven SAP Basis / S/4HANA technical expertise.
• Experience with SUM, Maintenance Planner, SPDD/SPAU, and system interfaces.
• Understanding of ABAP custom developments and test management.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑stakeholder projects and complex dependencies.
• Strong communication skills across IT, business, SAP ECS, and offshore teams.
• Basic experience with SAP BTP, cloud solutions, and integrations.
• Familiarity with APIs, system monitoring, and security concepts.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and follow best practices.
