We are looking for a Satellite Ground Segment Software Engineer (d/m/f) within Airbus Space Engineering, located in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

You will join a powerful team to design satellite ground segments. As a Software Engineer (d/m/f) for space ground segments, you will be part of a team based in Friedrichshafen supporting our integrated national space mission project teams. Beside these operational activities, you will contribute to our transformation plan that aims to become a national champion for high‑performance ground‑space mission solutions.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and integration of (cloud) infrastructure for ground segments
• Coordination of hard‑ and software infrastructure components
• Maintenance support for customers
• Support proposals and new technologies (e.g., AI) for next‑generation ground segments

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or comparable
• Experience with software development/engineering (Agile development, Linux environments, DevOps, cloud platform like Kubernetes) and infrastructure design and integration
• Experience with RedHat and RedHat OpenShift would be a plus
• Good communication and team skills
• Fluency in German & English
