Scientific Innovator Surface Technology (f/m/d)
You support our team as
- Develop a deep understanding of the organizations, structures, processes, and networks within Freudenberg, Freudenberg Technology Innovation (FTI), and Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST)
- Gain theoretical and practical expertise in all relevant surface technologies (e.g., rubber‑metal bonding, plasma technology, coating technologies, cleaning, corrosion protection, etc.)
- Present projects, results, and studies at both operational and various management levels within Freudenberg
- Provide consulting and address inquiries related to surface technology across FST business units, leveraging your own developed expertise
- Lead projects with responsibility for timelines, quality, and budget
Qualifications
- University degree in Surface Technology, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- Knowledge of polymer chemistry, plastics engineering, and surface technology
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and international project teams
- Experience in project management
- Fluent written and spoken English and German skills
- Openness to or prior experience with AI‑supported materials development
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Structured working style and strategic thinking abilities
- Proactive team player
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management competence
