Senior Account Executive – Telco Solutions (m/f/d)

Together with clients in telecommunications, logistics, energy, and media, AOE develops digital products, platforms, and IT services that create measurable business value. In the telecommunications sector and connected industries in particular, this means building the next generation of customer-centric platforms, modernizing system landscapes, and shaping digital channels that are scalable, relevant, and future-ready. Your focus is on acquiring lead customers for our Telco Product Suite as well as on complex T&M projects. For our Business Development team, we are looking for you as a Senior Account Executive (m/f/d) if new business is truly your thing with a clear process, sharp focus, and a proven track record of closing deals. Important to know: this is not an account management or relationship-only role. It is a position for people who actively open new doors. You will feel especially at home with us if you have worked in a mid-sized business environment where you were able to help shape and further define processes.

  • You systematically build new customer relationships, from the first contact through to the closing of complex project contracts
  • You identify and approach target customers proactively through outbound activities, including direct outreach at decision-maker level
  • You lead structured discovery conversations, qualify opportunities clearly, and maintain a reliable pipeline
  • You work closely with subject-matter experts to develop offers and business cases that are strong both commercially and professionally
  • You present solutions, lead negotiations, and confidently bring deals to a close
  • You collaborate with Marketing on scalable lead generation and refine processes to make outbound measurable and effective
  • You ensure a smooth handover to Delivery and Finance with clear expectation management

What you bring along

  • Several years of proven success in B2B new business sales involving complex sales cycles and consultative IT solutions ideally in the telecommunications industry or connected industries
  • Confidence in selling Saas products, digital solutions and IT services at C-level
  • You are strong in cold outreach and know how to approach decision-makers directly, professionally, and effectively
  • You have a quick grasp of new topics and can rapidly familiarize yourself with new customer contexts, subject matters, and business relationships
  • Strong closing skills: you negotiate with commitment, stay persistent, and get things across the finish line
  • You work in a structured way, with strong pipeline discipline, reliable forecasting, and clear qualification criteria
  • Solid experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) and modern sales tools; you use systems as a steering instrument
  • Very good written and spoken German and English are second nature to you
