The Divisional Account Management Team at S&P Global Market Intelligence seeks a Senior Relationship Manager to drive revenue growth and enhance client relationships across the Market Intelligence portfolio. The role involves engaging with clients, delivering insights, and ensuring our solutions meet evolving customer needs.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Client Engagement: Develop and foster strong relationships with clients to achieve revenue targets and meet strategic account objectives.
- Market Insights: Maintain knowledge of industry and economic events impacting clients and position the team as a market expert.
- Account Management Strategy: Build and execute comprehensive strategies, track activity, and ensure accurate pipeline forecasting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Specialists, Customer Support, Product Management, Chief Client Office, and Legal to address client needs and maximize upsell opportunities.
- Mentorship: Guide junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering professional growth.
- Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed quotas through renewal, expansion, and new sales opportunities while managing complex negotiations.
What We Are Looking For
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of capital market workflows with prior experience selling to or interacting with financial services professionals.
- 6+ years of account management or sales experience in the financial services industry.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and client interaction skills.
- Creative Problem‑Solving: Ability to devise tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Collaboration: Proven track record of working with cross‑functional teams to drive synergy and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline and minimum of five years of related experience.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
