As part of their continued expansion, they’re looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen their finance function in Germany. The RoleThe Senior Accountant will take ownership of core accounting operations and statutory reporting under German GAAP (HGB). You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and wider team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement in a modern, tech-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the general ledger, accruals, and reconciliationsLead the month-end and year-end closing processPrepare and review financial statements under HGB (German GAAP)Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisorsEnsure compliance with local accounting and tax regulationsSupport process automation and system enhancements within accounting toolsProvide insights and reports to management to support strategic decisions RequirementsDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years’ accounting experience within software, technology, or PE-backed environmentsStrong technical knowledge of HGB (German GAAP)Experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Fluent in English; German proficiency strongly preferredSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a remote-first international team What’s on OfferCompetitive salary up to 100kRemote-first setup with optional offices in Berlin or CologneHigh-impact role in a fast-growing PE-backed SaaS companyCollaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture
